It’s not news that the journalism business is having its challenges. We’ve been using diversified revenue streams to help support journalism in our community since we took over five years ago. Why stop now?
We’re taking a page out of a playbook that entities large (Seattle Times, Charlotte Observer, Miami Herald, Sacramento Bee) and small (The Belleville News-Democrat) are using. It's called fiscal sponsorship.
It allows you, the reader, to make a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible donation to The Big Bend Sentinel and help support the people who bring you the news each week. You keep supporting us, and we keep supporting you.
Since 1926, this paper has been about the community. Your support, however big or small, will help us carry on the tradition and build towards a successful future for the next 100 years.
From all of us at The Big Bend Sentinel. We thank you.
